Basketball – Championship Tuesday!

Championship Games Tomorrow!

We have arrived at the end of the season. The championship and third place games will be played tomorrow night. Congratulations to everyone on what has been a great season of basketball. All of the teams have made so much improvement throughout the season. Sometimes this improvement does not translate to wins, but the skills that have been developed throughout the season are more important than wins and losses. We look forward to celebrating the end of the season with our trophy/medal presentation and pizza party immediately after each division’s final game. See below for information regarding your conference:

Atlantic Conference (ages 5-7) – 5pm

We have had a strange season in this conference, so we are going to end the season differently for our youngest players. We will hold a tournament-style ending to the season, with all 4 teams in contention for the championship. We will play a 20 minute half, with the winner of each half moving on to the championship game (another 20 minute half). The two teams not moving on to the championship will play against each other for 3rd place (20 minute half). The first games that start at 5 are:

Court #1: #1 Celtics vs #4 Knicks
Court #2: #2 Nets vs #3 Raptors

Central Conference (ages 8-9/3rd Grade) – 5pm

The Central Conference has been fun to watch this season, with some great games coming down to the buzzer in the last few weeks. Hopefully our final games of the year are just as exciting!

Court #1 – Pacers vs Bulls (Championship Game)
Court #2 – Bucks vs Cavaliers (3rd Place Game)

Southeast Conference (ages 9/4th grade-11) – 6pm

In our most skilled division, the play has gotten better and better every single week. Both final games in this division promise to be entertaining, and will most likely come down to the final minute!

Court #1 – Hawks vs Wizards (Championship Game)
Court #2 – Heat vs Bobcats (3rd Place Game)
